The earthly life of our friend and mentor Robert L. Norton ended on June 16, 2024 following a brief illness. Bob devoted his entire professional life to leading our Firm and successfully serving the legal interests of many of our clients. His presence will be missed by us all.

We will always remember and honor Bob’s legacy.

Robert L. Norton was the firm’s Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He represented employers in labor and employment law matters since 1970.

Bob represented employers in all types of state and federal court litigation, including claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-hour, breach of contract, and whistleblower cases. He also represented private and public-sector employers in labor law issues brought before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC). He had extensive experience representing employers before the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and other state and federal agencies.

Bob focused a significant portion of his practice on traditional labor law matters and advice, including representing and advising employers on matters involving development of and participation in employer-side collective bargaining, attempted union organizing activities, and handling grievance/arbitration cases. Additionally, Mr. Norton provided his clients with advice on strikes and strike preparation.
